Welcome to Grandmother's Hands Family Health, PLLC

I founded Grandmother's Hands Family Health with a simple belief: healthy families begin with strong foundations, and every person deserves a healthcare provider who listens, understands, and genuinely knows them.

I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Family Nurse Practitioner with experience caring for patients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. I have a particular background in pediatric and family primary care.

I have also had the privilege of serving as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the United States Army since 2008. My military service has shaped the way I approach healthcare-with an emphasis on clinical excellence, accountability, readiness, prevention, teamwork, and caring for the whole person.

Serving military members and their families has been one of the most meaningful parts of my professional journey. I understand that military families often have unique healthcare needs, including the demands of service, frequent transitions, deployments, family separation, and maintaining continuity of care.

At Root & Rise Family Health, I am pleased to extend that same commitment to the broader community.

Caring for the Whole Family

My clinical philosophy is centered on prevention, education, evidence-based medicine, and long-term relationships.

I believe primary care should be more than treating an illness when someone is sick. It should include helping patients understand their health, identifying concerns early, supporting healthy development, managing chronic conditions, and giving families the knowledge and confidence to make informed healthcare decisions.

My pediatric experience has given me a special appreciation for the importance of caring for the entire family. Children grow within families and communities, and supporting the health of parents and caregivers is an important part of supporting children.

Serving Those Who Serve

As an Army Family Nurse Practitioner, I am particularly passionate about supporting service members and military families in our community.

Root & Rise Family Health will offer primary-care services for eligible service members as appropriate, including annual/wellness visits and other primary-care services within my professional scope and the practice's credentialing and payer requirements.

Patients should understand that Root & Rise Family Health is an independent civilian medical practice and is not a military treatment facility. Military-specific examinations, readiness requirements, deployment-related documentation, or other services requiring specific military authorization will be provided only when the practice and provider are appropriately authorized and credentialed to do so.

Autonomous APRN Practice

As a Florida-registered Autonomous Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, I provide primary care within the scope authorized under Florida law, including family medicine and general pediatrics.

Autonomous APRN practice allows a qualifying APRN to provide authorized primary-care services without physician supervision or a physician supervisory protocol, within the scope established by Florida law.

My goal is to create a practice where patients feel heard, respected, welcomed, and cared for.
